Some Tips to Clean Your Computer System

We all want a computer system that runs like brand new. One of the biggest considerations that we have in getting a computer is its speed and of course, we always want it to run at that a good speed for a long, long time. However, there is also a need to clean your computer system to keep the speed and performance of your PC.

As we do so many things on the computer, especially if we are always connected to the internet, it is always common that we experience slow and sluggish performance, errors, and many other problems that may end up making the computer uninviting.

If you want to thoroughly clean your computer system and restore its fast speed, here are a few tips you can use.

- Delete your temporary internet files. As the name suggests, these are just temporary files stored in your PC as you open web pages and visit different websites online and these can eat up disk space and can also slow down your PC as the number of these files increase day by day. You can find these in Options and you will find Temporary Internet Files that you can delete.

- Uninstall and remove programs and software that you do not use. Sometimes we do collect programs that eventually end up just sitting in our PCs. If you are not using it, then you can remove them from your computer to free up more space and allow your PC to run smoothly.

- Clean up your Windows registry. If you are using Windows, your PC contains a registry that contains information of anything that you do online and offline including installing programs. If you have been using your PC for quite some time now, you may experience registry errors, blank pages, programs not running and annoying pop ups. You can clean your computer system by cleaning and fixing your registry with the help of a software. It is recommended not to manually edit your registry because it contains important notations and codes which can cause serious errors in your operating system once deleted.

- Update Windows. If you are using a Windows operating system, make sure you update it to accommodate newer versions that were made to correct some errors of the previous versions. This also allows your operating system to perform well. You can also set your PC to update your Windows automatically. This will usually prompt you to update as soon as there are newer versions released.

- Scan your computer from spyware and virus. It is always recommended to clean your files and discs and make them free from viruses that can wipe away your files in an instant.

- Empty your recycle bin. Sometimes we took this for granted thinking they are already deleted. Occasionally clean and empty the trash to free up and clean your computer system.

- Delete your history, back up your files in DVDs or CDs and free up more disk space. At times, less disk space can also affect the performance of your tool.
